for number three why were you worrying about significant figures?

+Niagurl40 Why? We must always consider significant figures as they tell us how precise a measurement is. For example, 5.000 is much more precise that simply 5. So when we convert numbers to scientific notation we have to maintain the same precision. If the original number had 3 significant digits, then it must retain 3 significant digits when written in scientific notation. Hope that helps!
