Vaporization is a transitional phase of an element or compound from a solid phase or liquid phase to a gas phase while evaporation is a type of vaporization wherein the transition from a liquid phase to a gas phase takes place below the boiling temperature at a given pressure, and it occurs on the surface.

Colloidal solution are heterogeneous because they can be separated mechanically. Ex- Butter from curd. Boiling point of the water is the temperature at which the vapour pressure of water is equal to the external pressure but evaporation does not follow such conditions.

when we talk about evaporation ,it is a surface phenomena.in liquid state molecules coiled with each other and some molecule can get the sufficient energy to evaporate. on the other hand boiling is a bulk phenomena,it's happens in a const temp. both are type of vaporization (liquid gets converted to gas)

Vaporization can change the state of matter from a solid or liquid to a gas. During evaporation, the liquid state of matter is turned directly into a gas. ... As for evaporation, only the top level of water is turned into gas. When vaporization occurs, molecules could come from below the surface when the liquid is boiling.

Evaporation occurs whem system (pure water in liquid ) gets enough energy from surrounding that its molecules overcome the intermolecular for of attraction and have enough energy gained to exist in vapour phase Whereas in vapourization one provides energy mechanicàĺly say by burner to make the particle overcome the force of attraction and librate in surrounding Also evaporation depends on many factors such as surface area temp. Whereas vapourization depends on nature of liquid

If coloidal solution shaking with high rpm, solution gets suspension. Normally as colloidal particle so tiny, it is unseen to naked eye. And seemed to be soluble . But actually they are neither soluble nor miscible in solution and remain as a heterogeneous particle. That's why colloidal solution 2 phase solution.

@kareenabhaskar73003 жыл бұрын
the reason why a colloidal solution is heterogeneous, correct me if I am wrong. it is not totally transparent and will probably reveal the path of a beam of light through it, due to the Tyndall effect. Also, it will not go through a porous membrane unchanged, the big colloidal molecules will be held back.
