Thank you so much for the tactic analyze video! To me, Chen Weixing has always been a very unique chopper. He seems to always be looking to use his crazy forehand, almost like a penholder! Like you mentioned, his backhand sets up one of 3 scenarios. If they push or slow topspin, it gives him the opportunity to start attacking with his forehand, and if they make a mistake the point is obviously over. If the ball isn't good for him to attack on the forehand, he just blocks it back instead of chopping. Blocking/fishing instead of chopping lets him stand closer to the table, which again allows him to be ready with the forehand counterattack. Every part of his game is to set up his forehand. He is obviously a chopper, but I wouldn't really call him a defender. He is always looking to pick an active shot (especially with his pip sideswipe/hit), and always looking to start blasting with his forehand!

Thanks. I'm completely agree with you. For defender the best skill is his attack. Only with powerfull attack he can reach highest results

- Hey, what you’re doing? - My TT homework... 🤣 Thanks for the video. I didn’t like Chen defensive chopping style but when I saw a video from a visite he made to a Japan TT club... it was amazing ! The ability he has to predict the ball, his FH was a beast machine. Since that video I understood the importance of attacking after using correctly and viciously the pips. Good job TTBrothers_

hi there friend, recently i got pretty interested in medium pip rubbers, i even got myself a sheet of friendship 563 at 1.8mm to see how it performs. Problem is that there is little to no info in these type of pips, since you're one of the few channels with defensive style featured i wonder if you have anything to help me

Hey! Well as I know Hitomi Sato is using medium pips Nittaku Do Knukle. As for me I tried once Spinlord Keiler. What exactly do u want to know?

@@TTBrothers_ basic strokes and how the rubber reacts to spin would be useful, i've gathered some info by myself using it today. So far it seems that it only lightly reverses spin (unlike most LP) but it soaks most of the speed from the ball (unlike most SP). It also loops better than i assumed it would, but the ball's trajectory seems to vary radically, i suspect that this is due to the ball hitting the head of the pips and hitting the side of the pip depending on the speed of stoke/angle. A very versatile rubber overall.

@@jrk1666 Well, I had a plan to make some review of defense with short pips or mid pips. But dont know when it be. But now I can say that playing with this rubbers is pretty difficult for me because it has hard reaction on incoming spin. So u have to choose right angle and position of the ball to male a good chop. I think for this rubbers thickness of sponge must be not higher than 1,5 mm. For me long pips is much more mistakeforgiven even on thick sponges than short pips. But if it's comfotable for u, u can use it. Maybe u have some video of your game that I can see it?
