ito is on fire ! taking speed off the opponent, creating her own speed, wild and weird backhands, and incredible punches, is what it takes to knock off the #1 women's player out of the tournament. it seems China player only needed 2 more points to finish off the 4-0 win, but as all of know, anything can happen in this 11 point format ! what a win, very inspirational performance for the home crowd! her and Harimoto are both on fire ! In terms of mental aspects of Ito, she NEVER was discouraged from down 2-nill or 2-0, n she tirelessly n slowly n surely worked or fought-back with determination all the way back n took care of her worthy opponent or adversary! Mental aspects of Ito is another her golden asset n once again, she has very good chance 2 raise her Japanese flag in summer Olympic in Japan 2020. I am American citizen, though I originally came from VERY close 2 Japan n it is a matter of her sportsmanship I admire n why not give her or Ito well earned compliment regardless of your nationality, hu?

u should see that Mima Ito kept very calm and focused even tho she lost 0-3. She was building up her momentum, and getting into the feel. It is more like..... once Mima figures out her rhythm against CXT, there's almost no way she could lose. She is stronger player with the pips against CXT. I think CXT has to admit she has no answer for her backhand punches and forehand smack kills. those were way too strong for any inverted player. Inverted players have to do something to avoid getting punched like that , or they have no chance.

For me, as a semi-professional player it is really interesting to watch the dynamic shifts in the game. Everything the chinese player plays into Mima Itos middle/ellbow region, she almost always wins the point. In set 4-7 Ito is quicker on her feet and is fast enough to move herself into a good position.

well, I think the only way to handle that punch is to have a good back loop back and that punch also has many errors.
