Today’s recipe is a thoran popular in the countrysides of Kerala, a side dish made with the healthy stem, which is actually the modified leaf of Elephant Foot Yam or Chena. Fibrous and watery, it needs to be treated properly before cooking in order to remove the itchy properties of the plant. The video details on how it should be cut, cleaned and made into a yummy Thoran.
