Thank you for sharing this. I am getting ready to redo my dining room table in concrete and I have this sealer.

Thanks Eugene. I've an outdoor concrete countertop that's been sitting for years. Good to know not to waste my time with the sealer now! I've an epoxy finish I'll probably use.

I just learned that car wax might be a good sealer, but it has to be re-applied roughly annually. (Revel wine bar in Tucson does that on their concrete bar top.)

dont think car wax is food safe...?? @@eugeneboronow9779

Could it also be that the humidity is higher outside?

What grit to you sand the concrete to? I’m about the re fishing out concrete counter tops, they were never sealed so I need to wet sand some stains out. I plan on sanding then sealing soon after.

Concrete is naturally porous so the sealer should have been able to penetrate regardless? I'm doing a concrete dining table and will seal with Cheng sealer approximately 3 weeks after pouring, we'll see!

LMK how it goes-- curious whether you have the same experience as me.

What type of concrete did you use? I want the dark look. Is that all from the sealer or did you also dye them?

Hi. No dye, just the sealer. i don't remember 100%, but I think it was Sakrete High Strength with aggregate. I recommend doing some small samples that you can test.
