#7 was very supportive, they clapped and cheered all the way; to me, that was most moving. What made Fei care more about was her coach's bookkeeping of her 4 years' vaulting data. Fei: I wasn't strong enough and had let their 4 years of hard work be destroyed overnight. Therefore, I hope that I will be able to show better results, so as to repay all the dedication they had for me. I want to tell Coach Lu that his hard work of my vaulting data did not go wasted. After the Olympics, Fei was

This is for myself. #1 Cheng Fei, 2008 Beijing Olympics Chinese Women Team Champion. Commentator: Gorgeous! Fei: I had not done that 900 degree for quite some time now. Actually, I considered that 1st vault as rather perfect. Fei's 1st perfect vault made everyone thought that the gold medal was already in the pocket, because the 2nd vault would be the "Cheng Fei Vault". 2005 World Championship, Fei earned the Chinese' 1st vault world championship; 180 degree back flip twist followed by a

#4 an Olympic Championship. Under the close instructions of Coach Lu and Coach Liu for 4 years, she got rid of her wet ears and stepped into maturity. And furthermore, kept the undefeated superiority in her vaulting. The Beijing Olympics, Fei was so close to her Olympic Championship. Fei: The persistence of the 4 years from Athens to this day wasn't easy. During those times I have built up the strength to achieve so much more and when I got that kind result in an important meet, nobody

#3 nobody would have thought that it would end up like that. Fei: It was like "Whoa!". Not just the live audience, but I could sense the whole country's viewers, even viewers beyond the country, they just went "WHOA!!" As a matter of fact, while I was in the air, I knew that it was a disaster and that I could do nothing to recover it. So when I had both my hands on the mat to support my fall, I was actually able to accept it. 2004 Athens, Fei was still green without the capability to earn

#2 540 degree extended front twisting flip, was from that moment on, named "Cheng Fei Vault" and with it's birth also started Fei's incredible story in vaulting. 2006 Aarhus World Championship, 2007 Stuttgart World Championship... Commentators: Fantastic! World Champion... Fei took those 2 years' world title in succession and became the World's Championship history's first women gymnast who had 3 consecutive Vaults World Championship. The "Cheng Fei Vault" that had never failed before,

#6 Hung's "Cheng Fei Vault" got her a score of 15.750. Fei: What hurt me wasn't that I didn't get whatever result; more important was that I didn't present my true skill level due to the influence of other factors; I failed to present the efforts that I had worked persistently for in the past 4 years; I did not present my best to everyone, that was most regrettable to me. Hung won the championship and Fei got her bronze. Fei: What's over, was over. Nothing else to think about it. Everyone

#8 full of laughter again. Fei: After the Olympics, I feel much more relaxed. Failures are not necessarily bad things. I could get out of the limelight and nurture the next generation, I could step by step materialize my dreams, to plan well my future; I do believe that I could work with gymnastics with a very relaxed mentality. -Ends-

#5 would like to see it. Everybody was kind of silent. Coach Lu analyzed what I had done wrong, during our wait for the score. What I was thinking was that, "I have a problem and I can't solve it in time." Fei's 2nd vault got 15.050 and the total score was 15.562. After Fei's error, North Korean's Hung En Zen performed "Cheng Fei Vault" for her 2nd vault. Together with her big sister, Hung Xu Zen, had mastered "Cheng Fei Vault" in these 2 years and had been giving Fei some pressure.

In 2008, 20 years old Cheng fei was not at her best time because of the body growth, but She was leading the young Chinese team to get the first team Olympic gold metal. Cheng Fei is still the best Chinese women gymnast in the history. I think she will be a great coach.

You may be right, but I don't think DLL and JYY will ever be as good as Cheng Fei on FX. Cheng Fei's technique is just unmatched. If Cheng Fei can maintain her level of proficiency she should be in London... but that's the biggest challenge though. She's been so good for so many years, can she maintain it?

dutfil, that's very observant of you. I wanted to mention that in the translation, but I thought that maybe most viewers might be like "what the hell was that?!" So I left it alone. You're ok, my friend. :)

Ok it's nice that you're defending the Chinese girls, but why do you feel the need to bash two very beautiful and talented girls in the process? That's almost as bad as being racist in my opinion.
