I can testify china's delivery speed first hand. when visiting china, I ordered dozens of stuff such as phones, power banks etc. When shipped by "shunfeng", I received the items within 24 hours. Other shippers mostly 2 days. Shipping cost is surprisingly low, it's like minimal to none even if for one-day delivery. Returns are also super convenient. You won't believe it such speedy delivery (china is a big country) at such low cost. Also, you can easily chat/talk with the seller before/after your order. The overall experience is super impressive and light years better than Amazon. One reason behind this is that chinese are very hard working. Fierce competition leads to this convenience for customers.

The recent strike by Port workers in the US show the difference in attitudes towards automation and willingness to adapt to modernisation. I think it is going to be very difficult for the US.

You are showing how a perfect supply chain is required to provide success to a trading/industrial company. Any breakdown in the supply chain will disrupt the deliver/manufacture of goods to the customer. Donald Trump is a perfect disruptor of world supply chain that affects the success of goods to be made and delivered to the customer around the world, leading to raising the cost of the goods for the consumers.around the world.

When China gets the maglev up and running in a decade or two from now, they can keep the high speed rail to delivery products across the country.

Live streaming, goods selling, high speed delivery. These are the things that are unseen by the naked eye, unseen by the analog sales statistics, and unseen from the eyes of the west. Therefore, the western narrative is China economy is dying or dead. Unless you are down on the ground, immersed and involved in the Chinese next gen next level trade and commerce, you'd be falsely smiling that China is crumbling. Tuoche.

This is probably filmed in 2023, as otherwise those diapers will have been made in the future lol Still an excellent mini doc. There’s been improved efficiencies in transport logistics between getting products from factories to the hsr trains since then.

Imagine, I used to have to wait for a bus in the cold and dark in winter just for a 10 min journey to work in London. I also got stranded for an hour inside the train half way from Canterbury to London! Or you may find the Underground station suddenly closed and you have to walk to find the next nearest Underground station.

Maybe this video is outdated or transporting goods on HSR is of recent venture. Filling existing passenger carriage with goods is poor efficiency and waste of available space. More efficient use of space can be modeled after commercial airplane's cargo hold. Maybe these express carriers and HSR authority have already planning to build dedicated cargo carriages and loading system. That's the way forward.
The e-commerce or shopping online in China already took 30% share of all retail business. Some KZbinrs and western media filmed the ghost mall and street where were less and less shoppers in the malls and supermarket in China. Actually, the truth behind were the retail sale still growing. The logistics company, SF, have 87 cargo planes flight around the world. SF logistics company comparable to FedEx, Amazon, UPS, DHL, etc....

The transition will bring temporary pain, consumers will gain more benefits, and operators will need to find their own positioning, which is generally more progressive and improves China's competitiveness

I've a silly little question, from a Canadian ground zero perspective. Why are the vast majority of Chinese made products shipped to me, directly from China. the sub-scum, of the bottom of the barrel, sort of speak, in quality?

@@JimmyDoyel-by2cp yes, I am poor, though mathematically speaking, I only get 30 to 40% of what I've been paying for. You're rich, may I ask how do I get paid for at least 90% of my work?
