I have a plot near Sunguvar chaththam.So I visited many times..And I find that big Beautiful plain land and it was near to the existing airport and only very few families are living there and already Govt had done everything and only a few lands to occupy.In this crisis time, They can finalise it by paying a bit more and do some facilities to the Agriculture land owners and convince them and finalize.Time saving and energy saving.A Highway is very near.Metro rail connectivity is going to come soon.. Isn't it? Then what else needed?...My humble opinion.An ordinary person of this state.Proud of coming.

I think Parandur is the best location. It's distance comes less from Chennai and existing airport compared to other. It comes close to Chennai Bangalore highway. Connectivity from Chennai either metro or by road or whatever will be good and easy since already metro will be coming upto Poonamallee. Building a new airport is not big deal but must have good connectivity from city only then passengers like to travel. Cheyyar location is far away from city than Parandur. And connectivity is not good. Have to struggle connectivity in future. Bangalore airport is an example. Still they don't have metro to connect airport from city. They're struggling still for connectivity since location is far or not in right location.

Meenambakkam, Chennai airport is one of the airports in India which is in the center of the city and easily accessible. Moving the second airport to outskirts i.e., far away than 50 kms is indeed not a perfect plan. While the decision to continue the domestic operations in existing airport a relief for frequent domestic flyers, for passengers who'd like to transit from International flights to domestic, it will be terribly difficult. I had been to many airports and international destination too. The airports are 3,4 hours travel from the city. Ofcourse, terrible !

Airport should always be away from city. this is a parameter in airport construction due to various reasons.. that's y it's common to see airports at least 30 km away from city. Even meenabakkam once was away from the city.

It is better if it comes to reality early that will improve business opportunities and fast industrialization. but it should not like MRTS Chennai which even after 40 years last link between Velachery MRTS to St. Thomas Mount not yet been completed which alone encountered 15 years delay. If this link is established it will help 2 to 3 lakhs commutators who travel 20 to 30 KM daily by two-wheelers risking lives. It will help IT, employees of entire city industrial employees School College students, Senior citizens women for safe secure comfort travel which also saves travel time by 2 hours and also reduce traffic congestion on entire Chennai roads between Tambaram-Avadi-Ambattur, Anna Nagar, Ashok Nagar to NSC bose road Beach midpoint is St. Thomas Mount. Hope MRTS progress will be covered by your channel as there is no news for one year.
