Can I access the lounge if I want to wait for someone coming after I land at the chennai airport for 4-5 hours or is there anywhere I can have a powerpoint to sit and do my work??

No lounge at arrivals.You can wait at baggage area ,there are chairs and charging points but didn’t found any charging points near the chairs,but you can check,may be . Now there is a full fledged mall operating within campus of airport,just 5 -7 min walk from T1,if arriving during opening time then can go there too,it has a good food court.

if I arrive at Terminal 4 of Chennai International Airport where can I find my check in luggage ? From There I need to travel to chennai egmore railway station ............... Shortest means of travel to reach chennai egmore railway station from airpor -any suggestion ?

Just like any airport T4 have baggage reclaim area before exit,you will get your baggage there. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqi7ZImkdrekr7csi=vyG--T82Z35u_nhU Shortest is suburban train ,railway station is in front of Airport crossing the road. Second shortest would be metro,if traveling with heavy baggage or during peak hours then better to take cab.

May be one to one and half hour,Uber should cost around 600-700 inr.

How to go T4 Arrivals Baggage hall to T1 Baggage Hall?

You can’t enter T1 baggage hall if arriving at T4,you can only go till T1 arrival (exit). Just exit T4 and look for golf cart,that is complementary service between terminal and will drop you to T1 arrivals.

@@travelwithmatloo okay, thanks. That battery car service is first come first served. So what if I don't want to exit and go on the road, can I go by walklators by taking a lift at t4 and terminal to terminal

No issue getting golfkart. If ready to walk with baggage then yes you can use walkavators but keep in mind that at the end it is connected to T1 Mezzanine floor and you can’t enter through that door as only designated departure passengers are allowed,you have to take last elevator down and then walk on road to T1 arrivals.
