It costed around 1 lakh totally for us (6 members) including fuel, toll, food, stay and other activities. But you can also do it in low budget as well. We spent a lot on resorts and other activities in Goa. Our return route was different and lengthy so our trip expense was more.

Hi Jerry, The roads are mostly good from Vellore until Hubli. From HUbli many roads were under repair and maintenance. This was during Dec 2020. Now it might be better.

Is there any issue driving TN cars in Goa? How about car safety?

No issues. Make sure that you have all the papers properly. Both Karnataka and Goa cops won't accept our pollution certificate. So take a new emission test once you enter these states respectively. There are lot of test centers in the borders. Apart from that no major issues. KA cops are strict with face mask so make sure everyone is masked even inside your car.
