This happened way back in July 2022
Drove from Mumbai to Pondicherry via Bangalore, while coming back I had to come alone due to some reasons
The 1300 kms was divided into two days
Day 1 : Chennai to Chitradurga
Day 2 : Chitradurga to Mumbai (800 kms +)

Hi Kush - thanks for watching the video - I will make a short video about positives and negatives as well. To answer your question in short : Positives : 1) Comfort and drive quality - did a Mumbai to Bangalore drive with Parents and they had no complaints. Have driven in various terrains and weather conditions and the vehicle has held up quite well. 2) Power and torque - it can climb gradual inclines in first/second gear even on idle engine RPM, on very very bad roads I just use the idle engine RPM to coast instead of aggressively repeatedly accelerating, breaking, changing gears etc... 3) It gives the advertised mileage Negatives : 1) AC performance : It is very sketchy, sometimes on auto mode it wokrs very well, sometimes you feel as if it is not working properly - manual mode performance is good though. I feel they have not made the AC software as per Indian climate and driving conditions and in auto mode it cuts out the compressor quite aggressively so the AC cooling especially in auto mode in traffic conditions is not great. The driver side ventilated seat fan also gets noisy sometimes 2) Some build quality/software issues : Window up/down motors make a lot of noise and the driver-side window up/down switch glitches sometimes, some interiors looks cheap for the price. Android auto is glitchy sometimes but that is an Android issue and not a Skoda Issue 3) Dashboard/Infotainment : There could have been more features - I also sometimes struggle to understand the various modes / actions that can be done (Tripmeter, TPMS reset etc) the features are not well explained in the manual

Thanks for taking the time for a beautiful write up , I am owner of Kushaq Monte Carlo 1.5 Tsi AT and I completely agree with the positive, specially the third point , I squeezed milage of 21 kmpl on 435 km journey (80 percent highway, 20 per city) , all thanks to ACT Coming to negative, not felt the AC issue but completely agree with funny noises (I got them fixed and they never came back) , I will have to give it to Skoda to improve overall build quality in Monte Carlo version , should have done it earlier, thanks again and will wait for your video on this !

@@kushg9026 Hi bro. Has the quality of materials gone up in Monte Carlo version? Also, did u get any rattling noise ?
@kushg9026
@kushg9026 Жыл бұрын
Hello RP Trust me, quality of Monte Carlo (1.5 TSI AT) is one notch up from Kushaq and Slavia (took test drive of all) .It is not a difference of day and night but feels slightly more premium when it comes to materials. Rattling noise : It came for me once and was very slight , but it got fixed and didn't come back yet , However some youtuber say we have to lubricate door beading (dryness of rubber cause rattling )every six months , but in my experience it is very slight issue and goes away. You take the 1.5 AT if you are planning and you will be blown away by seat comfort and driving , hope this helps

@@kushg9026 Thanks Kush for the reply. I wasn’t happy with the normal kushaq’s interior. Monte Carlo looks more premium. Confused between Kushaq Monte Carlo vs Virtus GT vs Slavia Monte Carlo (coming soon) vs Jeep compass base model(more expensive, have to really stretch my budget). Will take back to back test drives again. Kushaq and virtus are my fav among the vw skoda 2.0 cars.

@@wikitalkie6620 Yes. Also from my (limited) experience we don't have good roads in India to drive beyond 80-100 kmph. Most NH/SH are just 4 lane (2 lane each direction) and with heavy vehicles , two wheelers, wrong side drivers, poor road quality and signage I don't think you can exceed 80-90 kmph without compromising on safety or taking stress There are few good access controlled roads like NE1, Mumbai Pune expressway, Samruddhi mahamarg , Yamuna expressway etc... where one can do upto 120 kmph - but even there the risk of some idiot coming in front of you , tyre burst of some other vehicle etc is very high

@@rajesshkr215 and Raj Arun while it's true that Skoda claims to have solved all issues I feel things can still happen. In India we don't sue companies for shortcomings like it is done in the US/EU - even if we wanted to our legal system is torturous and it will take a lot of time. So companies also try to cut corners and get away with it - it's very sad but the truth - you are on your own and it's about luck. Doesn't matter whether you buy a Rs 200 earphone or 20 Cr Villa - if you receive a bad product there's literally nothing you can do about it
