I been saying it for years! Its absolutely criminal that JUST THIS ONE TIME has been so neglected by Cher herself! This great album produced by Jimmy Webb, writer of McArthur's Park, was Cher's first LP of more serious material with Just This One Time being the album's centerpiece. To date there has not been a true career spanning CD box set of Cher's music beyond the S & C hits and her solo hits. No anthology offering hits along with strong album cuts from day one to the present has ever been produced. Some believe that there are just too many record labels to make this a reality. This is B.S.! Carly Simon's career spanning box set includes material from no less than 9 different labels. If Carly Simon can get it done I should think that for Cher and her continued level of popularity still(!) it should be a shoe in! Ms. Cher, if you're reading this please give your fans what they ask for here and re-release at least the Stars Lp on CD and vinyl. Would it not be be both much more enjoyable and not without vindication that you see the Stars Lp go to number 1 on the charts while you're still here. Posthumous releases always have such an aura of sadness surrounding them. Think David Bowie, Janis Joplin, Gram Parsons, Michael Jackson; please avoid this and release Stars officially on CD. Because the truth is this: You better believe that after you're gone the outcry for a Stars re-release can and will become deafening. Who else but you can turn a re-release into a number 1 album at 75 years of age? Do you doubt your fans? Their appetite for all things Cher? Prove my point by doing so and make an industry that has disrespected you forever bow their heads in shame. Rock n Roll Hall of Fame...her chart achievements stand and with Stars re-released it would serve as the icons crowning jewel that cannot be duplicated by any other artist. Why the push for Stars re-release? See it on 60 Minutes on CBS!

So when I was a teenager, I used to play this album on my 8-Track stereo in my first car. I’ve loved it ever since. And now, I get to experience it REMASTERED. My wife (my girlfriend that tolerated this in my 8-track stereo car), my zoom-band (that was so tired of me blasting Cher 24/7) and my kids (who tolerate my Cher collection) are so happy for me. And I’m happy for CHer. I remember reading an interview with her in the 80’s…Stars was her favorite labor of love…at least at that time. Go CHER! Rock on with with your bad self!
