Do you back your canvas with anything or use it as is? Have you ever printed on faux leather? If so what faux leather did you use? I’d like to try to make some bows for my twin great nieces. Thanks!
@CherelleDanae2 жыл бұрын
I don’t add anything to the back of these but when I make bows I usually use multiple layers for the style I use. So I’ll have a layer of faux leather and then these kind or wrap around the the faux leather.

@@CherelleDanae - so you make your pattern on this canvas material and layer it over a solid faux leather or coordinating patterned faux leather? Do you have picture of a finished bow using this method?
@Paula-vk5yi Жыл бұрын
I use my silhouette studio for free! Print with my sublimation printer, then iron it on the faux leather.

Hello! Do you possibly have direct links to some of the patterns that you scrolled through in the video? IF not, maybe even some keywords when searching for them? I absolutely love your patterns, but as you know Creative Fabrica has THOUSANDS of pattens/digital papers, so I'd NEVER be able to even begin to try and find yours. Thank you! Stacie in the Youngstown, Ohio area!!

Hi! how stiff are these? Its looks like they would wrinkle easy when I saw you handle it. Would you use this as an alternative to using faux leather for bows?
@CherelleDanae2 жыл бұрын
My daughter has had some for two years now and they only wrinkled when she actually took them off and placed in her mouth. I had others get wet and did not wrinkled as well. I also have them hanging up and not smooched under anything or in a box so they hold their shape pretty well. You can probably also glue it to another plain piece of faux leather the same size to extra thickness.

Awesome tutorial! How do the canvas and ink hold up to water?
@CherelleDanae3 жыл бұрын
It isn’t waterproof sadly. My daughter got ahold on one and chewed on it. The ink didn’t fade but the canvas didn’t hold up the best

Have you tried to coat with fabric mod podge to see if that helps with water resistance?

Great! What about using design space instead? Can I do it with that application too?
@CherelleDanae3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can you will just have to import you patterns into design space or upload your pattern as an image and adjust it to the correct size

Do you know the size scaling for bows?
@CherelleDanae3 жыл бұрын
It depends on the actual resolution size of the initial pattern design. So it will be not be the same for each pattern, unfortunately. A tip I do is I take the size of the bow I will be making and divide it in half. So if I’m making a 4” bow I will use 2” and I would make a 2” square over the pattern I’m wanting to use and adjust the pattern to fit how I would like it to that box.

@@CherelleDanae do you know of any other printing software to use? I didn’t know photoshop was so expensive 😭
@CherelleDanae3 жыл бұрын
You can use anything to print, including Microsoft Word and just what ever photo app comes with your computer. An alternative to photoshop is Affinity Designer. It’s a one time fee of usually $29, when on sale. I’m still learning it as I have time.
