I remember their patriarch, Eddie Mesa who was also an actor in his younger days. My two older sisters who were in high school then brought me along with them at their school to watch the coronation of Miss AU. The school was located at Taft Ave near Buendia (now Gil Puyat). Special guest was EM, Cherie's dad who was still very much single then. He was dressed up in greek costume as i can recall thou i was just a little girl at that time. He serenaded the crowned beauty queen seated inside a giant white shell. EM was very handsome, he looks like Michael de Mesa. As for Cherie and her mom Rosemarie Gil, there was one movie of them together which is something like a suspense-thriller but i forgot the title. They appeared in the movie as one character. When it is full moon, it's Cherie on the screen but when the moon is on the last quarter her looks changes to Rosemarie. Their name in the movie is "La Luna" it's a beautiful movie. Hope it would be shown on tv.
