A man can only treat a woman as disposable if she lets him, but that still implies that he would do it regardless. If he treats you like you’re disposable it’s a reflection of his CHARACTER. If you allow it then it’s a reflection of your boundaries.

At almost 30, I'm finally starting to realize the reason why I've always attracted low value men. I was allowing them into my life because I didn't set any standards for myself, I never valued myself enough to. So because I made it so easy for them, they never took be seriously and proceeded to use and abuse me. Now I am huge believer in believing that your partner is a reflection of what you feel like you deserve of yourself. It's all on you to determine which men are worthy enough by upholding your boundaries and having the strength to leave at the first sign of disrespect.

I don’t think a lot of women allow men to run over them because of low self esteem, but definitely naivety (which men take advantage of). Yes, there are men who like an easy prey. Yes, there are women who give it up for free99. But men are more likely to value a woman with standards. This also depends on where the person is in their life. Some men are looking to play the field (Fboys) and some men are looking for a serious relationship/ potential wife. It all depends. My husband's friend made that statement, because he was only finding women that wanted to give it up for free99, or women that wanted to hunt him down.

You go to work and do a job because there is something in it for. Some days you really just want to lay in bed and daydream but you do it anyways. The commitment of love is the same. And truth be told, part of staying in love is keeping it interesting in terms of maintaining a mystery which keeps the spice going. We also as women like a man to take charge and say no to us sometimes. It shows dominance which is sexy because it shows he can take control and is not weakminded. "Yesmen" are weak to me. Something else I think is important that I've seen mostly with us bw is hanging around men, thinking you're one of them, and being heterosexual. I've seen young girls/ women adopt the male tendencies and behaviors of the men they hang around, then have a crush on one and expect to be treated as a love interest. It doesn't work like that. They might have sex with you, but won't value you in the way these women expect. I know a women in her mid 40s and she's been a 'sidechick' to this guy for 20 years. She's always with him in his friends drinking beer, cussing, sitting with legs wide open, ready to jump into illegal activities quickly. The guy she sees calls her b*tches, will absolutely NEVER show her effection or love in public, EVER. His friends call her b*itches and will rough her up and play fight. She has no kids, never been married and now she's devestated that she wasted all this time being up under him being his ride or die and he makes it aggressively clear he won't leave his wife or give her a child. You can't be one of the ni@@as and get feminine respect and care. You must have a life of your own, invest in your looks, lifestyle and emotional health. It's honestly sad that she wasted all of this time and probably cant find a decent guy because she doesn't attempt to look, talk, walk or act anything like a soft woman. And I always felt uncomfortable going around her and her friends because I'm the complete opposite, but friendly, respectful and down to earth. And they still act funny. This is the side effects of not being a feminine woman

@Jouc’e Amor’e Exactly! This was me also as a teenager. My mother wasn't an influence and I was raised more by my dad and wanted to be like him. Another reason I didn't know at the time, but understand now was it was safer to be rough and tough in certain schools and neighborhoods. If you went to school or on certain blocks looking soft and feminine, you were pressed up on, for real. It was safer being masculine and it was also the trend. But growing into a young woman it wasn't who I was and I embrace and love being a woman now. But the woman who haven't adopted femininity don't accept you and even sometimes get rude. Luckily I grew up around this so I have no issues maintaining who I am.
@leekeene58894 жыл бұрын
@Elevating Darkness I couldn't imagine! Wanting acceptance so bad you'll get used and abused. And these women will never find respect or love in those groups and MUST change their entire lives. If they don't realize this they'll spend these crucial years being dehumanized and have no self esteem to speak of. This is truly sad!

@Elevating Darkness Yeh it's unfortunate how stubborn and oblivious some of us could be. I seen how it's almost impossible for older women I know to admit let alone change their issues that have them angry and that repels good men. Of course I don't call anyone out on their issues because that's not my place and I'm still growing. Like my mother; but she's always gotten passes or her behavior is seen as feisty because she looks mixed and has a nice figure. At her age, I'd think she'd seek help for her extreme anger and aggressiveness. She doesn't and have nerve to watch stuff like love and hip hop and other toxic shows that give her dysfunction a boost! I refuse to be around it. I work too hard to treat and manage my emotional trauma that I've endured throughout my life. The ONLY reason why I'm ok today is because I was raised by my dad and his side since I was a new born. Sorry I got into my long rant😒 but this stuff gets deep. I just praise the bw who recognize our issues and are trying desperately to heal and be the best version of ourselves; mind, body and soul❤

I think the main point is men see women as conquest out THE GATE! Not wholesome pure beings. It is always up to us to love ourselves and nowadays even more so because so many men live in their feminine energy🙄 Yet want all the perks of a feminine woman 🤣 I also liked how you mentioned doing the inner work. I'm a big fan of therapy and honestly think every Black Woman should go to a few sessions. This is not a diss but our plight is the most undermined on Earth. Therefore, we need to unpack that baggage heal ourselves FIRST by any means❤

As a non blk sis, I agree. What has happened to the American black community over centuries has caused most of this social disentigration. @@randomness8819 Thanks Dear & yes I see it on a worldwide level due to how much I travel. I will say in some respect marriage is more encouraged in other countries and cultures than America. With this line of reason, it’s safe to say that being single is the only option since men think like sexualize dogs. They don’t even respect themselves so how can we expect them to respect us regardless of we love ourselves?

I personally don't think men genuinely like women, and yes they see us as disposable. But they do respect a woman who they have to conquer but only if she is what he is attracted to. Men of strong character respect a woman they date regardless. If she is not up to par then he'll either give her time to improve herself if she is on that journey or he will move on, not abuse, manipulate and cause her pain. However, I also agree that where is women is will affect how men of all types view her and she's much more likely to attract abusers and may become used to it as well, making it challenging to accept a better man. She may also repel since men tend to observe women, even before they realize it. Low self esteem is very difficult to hide but for so long, and holding out on sex isn't enough if he can see right through an act lol. Everything must be natural based on the inner work being done. People will see the transformation, you cannot hide that beauty as well.

I don’t know... I don’t think men are wired to see women as disposable but I do think certain men, especially ones raised by parents who told them they were just absolutely amazing. Men who have an overinflated sense of self seem to believe they are the prize and anyone would be lucky to have them even if they bring nothing to the table. I do think nurture plays a huge role in how men treat women. I do agree that if you do not cherish yourself the men in your life will not either. You teach people how to treat you and if you don’t care for yourself it is apparent and the men you’ll attract are people who are looking to take advantage of your low self-esteem

I just found that phrase so disturbing bcuz the “Coach” said that in the context of sexual things and that to me was even worse. Like do these people live under a rock or something? Lol.
