He held a door open for me in Santa Fe a few years back. I recognized him, but just said “thanks!” What a powerful presence!

Right??? I was like, how does he not know he’s a descendant of Nancy Ward, but that was his real biological father’s side, so he wouldn’t know. He spoke at my youngest son’s graduation. The principal beaded the bow tie he’s wearing in the thumbnail photo.

My husband's Great Grand Father was a Cherokee Raised and survived of those Schools in N. Carolina..what is rare, is he owned his own store..his wife was disowned by her family for marrying a Cherokee. All we have is one portrait picture...which is also on his tombstone..

I am African American with tri-racial ancestry. My 4th and 5th great grandfathers were full blooded cherokees. Our DNA still reflects that lineage as well as the documentation!

My Federally Recognized Tribe is in Northern California..prior to my mother’s passing several other Tribal leaders went to the Smithsonian to obtain “ISHI’s” brain to do repatriation. This was in the 90’s and I know that the treatment of Indigenous remains being repatriated has finally become a reality. I’m so Thankful. Yes, all my grandparents went to Boarding School and I heard and know many stories about them either successfully completing the education or as my Paternal Great Grandmother fleeing and returning home walking through mountain at the young age of 5’ and 6’ with her brother. Thank you for sharing this interesting episode. * WES STUDI is a Great Actor. I’ve watched many of his Movies where he’s the protagonist. 🙆🏻‍♀️🤣🙌🏽

My 3X great grandmother was a Penobscot Indian princess. She married one of the Winslow brothers that came to America on the Mayflower ship in 1620. BTW, no humans were native to the Americas. All came from elsewhere.

Wes Studi happens to be a real indigenous native man not some $5.00 dollar Indian. AKA really just a white European person whose ancestor was friends with Confederate president Andrew Jackson who made sure to put their ancestor on the Dawes Rolls. That's why he's not afraid of DNA scrutiny, researching, and uncovering ancestral roots through testing. Maybe some people are afraid that these kinds of tests are going to reveal the truth, that they are Not Native indigenous American at all but something else entirely 🤔!

@@teresamiller901 The original people on earth are the only indigenous on Earth. The enemy of the Earth people has covered the earth with an Artificial World. By the time you get this reply you may also know this truth. We are the only ones who can not only heal the Earth, but also rule the Earth. We are civilized although we were propagandized by the Artificial Media as less than human. We all watch this in real time as it happens in Gaza. Educate yourself .
