+Seamus Android We recorded it in '93 btw. It was in some studio in Brighton as I remember. The singer/guitarist (John Redfern) is a very talented bloke.

+harry cheers dude. At 41 I feel like an old fart now though. Current music scene is shite on toast and I wish it was like it was back then.

+Seamus Android Which scene was this anyway? You said recorded in Brighton but I always assumed this was from American folks. A good scene is rare to find, and when I've been in one I've always taken it for granted.

No..this was part of the hippy scene in the late 80s/early 90s on the south coast of England. There had been a huge influence from krautrock on the Manchester scene but this was all separate. There were a bunch of people that looked liked hippies and lived with that mentality(more so in Brighton) and the a load of folks from the more Eastbourne/Hastings area that were quite hedonistic, and had a let's say slightly absurdist approach to humour along with incredible tastes in 60s/70s music. I learnt a huge amount back then but was too young to get it at the time, if you get my point(and I was 7/8 years younger than most of them, apart from Mo on the album who was already well into his 40s).
