@@murkelei waste? where? all the paint he put on the canvas was used, it just has extra texture which is a cool touch in acrylic paintings so i’m not sure what you mean by that (not trying to sound mean just genuinely wondering where the wasted paint you’re talking about is)

Amazon has 6 half gallons of acrylic paint for around $70-$80 and you can even do a three month payment plan of $26 a month. It's just basic colors, but you can mix them to make any other color.

I just discovered something known as negative or inverted painting, and I was so fascinated by the idea! I'm not an artist of any kind so, I was looking for something that'll be easy to paint but look beautiful at the same time. And I absolutely love cherry blossoms so, I'm going to try and paint this using that method. I hope I can do justice!

I haven't painted anything since leaving school in 1975 and fell in love with your picture. I hope you don't mind me copying it after buying a mixed box of cheap acrylic paint tubed. I love the result I achieved by being guided by your video. Not bad for a 50 year gap!
