Parade from 10 AM - 11 AM
Festival from 11 AM - 6 PM
Located in Historic Downtown San Leandro
The San Leandro Cherry Festival is a long-standing San Leandro tradition celebrating our past, present and future! The first Cherry Festival was held in 1909. Many things have changed over the years but one thing that remains the same is the strong sense of community identity and pride the Cherry Festival brings to the San Leandro community!
"The Cherry Festival Parade, which honors San Leandro’s heritage as the former cherry-growing capital of the region, will take place along Parrot Street, East 14th Street, and Estudillo Avenue on Saturday, June 3, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
"The Cherry Festival Parade will kick-off a day of festivities at 10:00 A.M. with the parade route starting at the BART south parking lot, proceeding down Parrot Street, then northbound East 14th Street, and concluding at the San Leandro Main Library on Estudillo Avenue.
"After a three-year hiatus, the Cherry Festival returns to downtown San Leandro following the parade.
"June 3rd is set to be a fun-filled day with live entertainment, food, artisans, and community booths, celebrating the San Leandro community.
