My whole relationship was based around this song. Everytime we fought or I felt sad, it managed to find its way in shuffle. I was forced into things I didn’t want to do, but did them anyways to please. I have cried in regret to this song, surrounded by all the best parts of the relationship that painted over worst. Even if I knew it wouldn’t last, I stayed anyways- because he was the first person I have ever felt so much love towards. However, I understand it wasn’t love at all. I remember crying in his apartment bathroom with this playing while he was with someone else in the room next door. I wasted his time, but I’d be lying if I said he wasted mine- because in the end, I learned many valuable lessons from the relationship. I’m still working around it, but I’m getting better. This song leaves a stain; A beautiful stain, but a stain.
