Been watching your content for a bit, never been disappointed. Gorgeous colors and I, as a watercolor artist myself, have never felt the best when recording in real life drawings, hence why I only have digital art. Your work is beautiful and gives me inspiration all around. I was wondering what camera/stand you use to record? And also if you know of any cheap alternatives to a expensive and bulky camera. Love what you do, and keep up the amazing work♥️

Question: How long do you let the ink/watercolor/more watercolor dry between layers? I'm so impatient and end up bleeding my colors.
@Penguinian5 жыл бұрын
Jenniifers Weitzel usually you can tell by turning the paper to the side, if it’s still somewhat shiny then it’s likely still wet (unless it’s a metallic color or something). Once the paint dries it will look very matte. Be careful though, in some cases even if it seems dry it’s not yet, so it’s good to give it a little longer than you think. If you’re impatient you can try using a blow dryer! They will blow around puddles, but if it’s only somewhat wet then it speeds up the process.
@jaypope62395 жыл бұрын
use a heat gun! you can get one that’s meant for embossing for cheap and it dries your layers in seconds. It doesn’t have as much force as a hairdryer so you don’t have to worry about splashing as much.
@catb6915 жыл бұрын
You can use a hair dryer for a bit and it will dry a lot faster. But warning ⚠️ have the blow dryer farther away from the painting or the air will push the paint and mess it up.
@moonlitgalaxy59404 жыл бұрын
Jennifer Lee it depends on how much water you add to your paints. adding more water to paint will make it take longer to dry and adding less will take shorter to dry. the ink used in this video is waterproof so there wasn’t really a problem with drying time. of course sometimes colour bleeding can produce some nice effects but it all comes down to patience. hope this helps!

I appreciate your honesty in saying that recording makes you nervous, I’m the same way. Yeah, practice will make it better, but it doesn’t help the NOW of “I need to work on things, but setting up and doing is so complicated so I don’t want to do it”. I do like your visuals of organizing the paints and setting up the palette, I always enjoy when artists show little extras like that, but I can never figure out what’s important/entertaining enough to show XD keep practicing, let’s all get better~

And my goodness watching you work and your process is lovely! I had to check the description to figure out how you kept those original lines from blurring (yay waterproof ink listed!) And i'm in love. I love that your lines are warm toned and reddish and not black. That adds so much mood and depth to the finished piece. Good call! I'll have to try that some time :)
