Why Mete made a snap decision as he was double minded the way I noticed from his attitude that he was not so sure of his feeling towards Seyma? May be at the back of Mete's mind he wanted to give chances to her best friend Ayaz who is deeply in love with Oyku. Mete's love towards Oyku in his subsconsciouness was later on expressed when he obtained brain-tumor.
