Technically in the lore behind the archetype, Dante and his companions travel through Hell (The Burning Abyss) and Heaven so they do in fact go there. The demons are "of" the burning abyss but Dante and a few other cards are going to the Burning Abyss.

To be fair ancient gears usually only care about one fusion monster being out so you can swing really hard with it. If the deck functioned like lunalights who's main deck monsters only have a max of 2k attack and rely heavily on multiple fusions then I'd understand. I only say this cause Ancient gear barely feels hindered by the link rules. I just summon the one huge guy and try and break my opponents neck.

Predaplant Scorpio and Cobra are lv 3s. You can summon this link monster with them and get a fusion card with the greatest of ease. So yeah, it will definitely help archetypes other than burning abyss.

I can't compete only off the fact of it having too weak of a attack (500). Using Fire Lake stings and is more effective now but we are still getting more removal for such shenanigans (The new Trunade card) and Ash Blossoms is still a issue which most likely wont receive and ban like her other hand trap sisters.

Terrell Allen well, there's no reason this hypothetical six samurai couldn't be like, a themed double summon, or somehow help with summoning more samurai so the fusion doesn't suck and you can make multiple shi en without having to waste monsters on decode talker or something. Besides, the deck will probably be better in the tcg since we have diagram still at three so the true king version is actually playable.

The fact that break sword is destroyed by a card effect allows me to summon dark requiem indirectly the same turn. For this i already need a normal summon. Yes I will be able to destroy 1 card on my opps field, but that won't pop break sword... As for the fact of summoning BS 1st, well, i need 1 normal summon for this guy and 1 normal summon for break sword so i can't... :(
