Cheryl and Cat also reflect on the 19-year-old's first year of college and how Cheryl is handling having a newly-empty nest. Sometimes I think dogs and humans took on each other's most prominant traits. From dogs, we got loyalty, joy, protectiveness l, duty, working in concert with others, selfless love and gratitude. From us, dogs got greed, terratorialism, rage, covetousness, violence, deception, stubbornness, and passive agression. Both exchanges aided the survival of both species, but we definitely got the best in the bargain.
