Capt Luke you truly are a very hard worker which is very honorable. I would like to thank you for showing us what you are doing and why on your boat. I had no idea that it was that much work and the method you have. Very impressive to me for such a young man.

I grew up around there. Lord I miss those sweet little critters ,use to go out in the marshes with my grandpa an just dip them up with a long pole with a hoop net on the end at the end of the day with another crew we would have enough to feed half the campground. We did that back in the 60s,70s family reunion at a KOA campground. Great work keep the faith Luke hard work pays off in so many ways

I used to work in Fredericksburg Virginia, And my employer would take us over to Maryland for all we could eat blue crab. Twenty five guys can put away a lot of crabs😂 I told my boss I wasn't going to go because I wasn't in the mood for crab. He said I could order whatever I wanted. When my steak& shrimp showed up, the other guys were pissed😂😅

New to watching your videos and have found them interesting with a sense of humor. Have you ever considered having a raffle with the winner being able to spend a day with you and your crew actually crabbing. I know from watching that it would be a tiring day and maybe disappointing in terms of the catch, but I would definitely buy a ticket for a chance to experience it. Thanks for showing what you do.

I noticed you’re baiting, then dipping the pots in the hot water solution. Doesn’t that affect the bait?
@kokoyhawaii5 ай бұрын
So the pots are rebaited, then dipped in hot water? I guess that doesnt affect the bait. I would have thought it would mess up the bait.
@Ubbnockshuss Жыл бұрын
What would be the reason to load the pots before cleaning as opposed to after. You are getting soap on your bait.

2 qustions i don't know if you will ever read this. Question 1: How long do you set the pots for before checking them? Qustion 2: i know, sounds stupid, but do you ever run into big sharks well crabbing?

@shirleymae30 Жыл бұрын
The first, and most obvious problem i see is that you are cooking or blanching your bait, by baiting the pots before putting the traps in the hot tank. Your catch rates will definitely increase if you do NOT cook your bait.
@shirleymae30 Жыл бұрын
Also, if you add at least one herring, pogie, or mackerel in with your shrimp head bait in your pots, I guarantee they will fish better.
@walthampton67006 ай бұрын

Why is your guy baiting the pot and then dropping the freshly baited pot into the washer? It's washing all bait smell away. He should be washing the pot first and then baiting it. YOU WANT THAT STINK.
