I love this old engine, hope they don't do what I heard that they up did with 4014 which is the diesel is pushing it it's not running all the way they say it has been running piped specifically to the whistle and a couple of owls if you really listen to 4014 you can't hear chugging sound I really want to hear 4014 run on its own power but anyway can't wait to hear 27/16 run again anyway thanks

And talk RJ Corman Co. into getting 2008 back up and running again.
@maumelleweather51955 жыл бұрын
@@gregbates703 The diesel was there in case something went wrong with the 4014, and wouldn't tie up a busy mainline. Also, those diesel behind 4014 was in full dynamic braking pretty much the whole time, acting as a load for the 4014. The 4014 didn't even know it was there. Give Ed and crew a chance to break the locomotive in properly, and then they will tie on about 7000 tons of cars to her drawbar and let her do some real talking.

Sir if you do not mind me asking.What was wrong with the locomotive because it was part of the southern steam program.You see I a guy who loves trains.Went to a school real close by the Seaboard Coast Line.Yes its the Seaboard Air Line my home town good old monroe n.c.Still has a yard but also had a round house.I would see 6 and some times 7 gp9 and gp7.I even saw some wooden boxcars and gon with steel braced.I heard different things about the locomotive.Like big problems to hey they could have fixed that there were just lazy.One more thing I also collect o gauge trains.I have a few berkshire types.I have a lionel tmcc berkshire with the lower head light.Its not-- Hey take a look for your self kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHq7lpewns6IhaM enjoy!

Don't suppose any of you Easterners know that Clinchfield's F3 color scheme is an EXACT copy of Spokane, Portland and Seattle's F3s (both numbered 800, too) right down to the yellow nose treatment and side striping. The one exception was that SP&S's carbody was Pullman Green instead of tell-tale gray. SP&S got theirs (for psgr service) in 1947, CRRs a year later.

Maybe. I wonder if CSX might actually have the solution to Amtrak's policy on excursion Trains. You would need your own passenger car fleet along with dome cars for the New River Trips in the fall. CSX might need to use their passenger cars just like UP.

Four(4) of these K-4 Class Kanawha's have moved during the past two years since 2018, of the 13 left, from 90 built. 2716 here moved into the Raveena Shops. 2700 is the Original Prototype from 1941 moved in Dennison Ohio. Then 2727 was switched in Union at the Illinois Railway Museum with the Frisco 1630 2-10-0,see utube. Then 2789 is the very last of the 90 and moved at North Judson with a G.E. 70 Tonner. Are there any more that moved? But some are stuck in city parks. But 2736 here in gbw has not moved since 2001 and is parked behind AT&SF 5017 2-10-4-Texas class. 2736 was last sandblasted in 1985 and base coated with Brown primer then spray painted black, but now it is Very Dusty.
