Brillant, what a layout. How do you maintain the outside track in inclement weather? Ever run any steam specials?
@CHESEABUN4 жыл бұрын
I don’t. There is more maintenance to do on the track. All the sections are soldered together via a piece of wire. The track is nickel silver so does not corrode. All the track outside has to be cleaned thoroughly by a track rubber before I run any trains.

Amazing. First time I seen a class 37 was when my father took me to Birmingham motor show in 1986. I was 7 years old. We boarded at ruabon station in north Wales, near where I live, and changed at Shrewsbury. A class 37 came in to take us to Birmingham. Having never seen one before, due to only being used to local services in my area, I was amazed by the 37. I have been a huge fan ever since. I live close to llangollen railway, and always go to the diesel days. Amazing layout you have, very impressive. Best of luck.

Thank you for your very kind encouraging comments. I will do some more rail tours hopefully soon. The outside section is going through some major transformations as a large section of the fence came down during a storm during the Winter taking some of the line with it. The railway attached to it sub stained some damage. I have had to take about 70% of the outside section down as the whole section of the fence had to be replaced. I may have to now reduce the length of the run on the out side section or maybe even make it single track? I have also just upgraded my control unit as well. Appreciate you watching. Richard
