Don’t worry when you can’t figure out a good move, chess is just really complex and all newer players will have this. Knowing the rules doesn’t mean knowing important strategies. It takes a lot of practice to see good moves even though it might seem simple. So you are definitely not alone in this.

1:24:23 That move was a bad move because the enemy king is able to come in closer to the pawn and rook, where if you moved the king the other direction the king would have stayed trapped on the back rank and a checkmate could've been made when you did the rook takes rook and pawn takes rook to promote to queen The rook cant take the rook because it put themselves in check:) He figured it out eventually!!
