It is unbelievable that a year later Taimanov gets wiped off the board by Fischer in their Candidate Match 6-0. People wondered why Taimanov made it to the Candidate Matches. They must not have seen this game you show! It restores his Chess reputation. Good job.

Thanks for the effort you've put into your channel. Can we have content on the people mentioned in Sosonko's book Russian Silhouettes, such as Koblenz, Furman, and others?

My pleasure. Unfortunately, I haven't read that book yet, but I hope you can find games by those players among the videos.

Absolutamente coincido. Brillante partida del maestro Taimanov. A pesar de haber sido vapuleado por Fisher y defenestrado por la escuela nacional soviética. Aparte fue un músico de primera. Saludos

7:09 cant white play Bg3 resulting in the same situation? 9:02 I thought Rb2 saves the pawn, though it looks a bit dangerous as the d-pawn is pinned, engine probably hates this move right?

Yes, Bg3 is also winning. The computer slightly prefers Nc1 over Rb2, probably because after Rb2, the rook will be tied to the defense of the pawn.

This game was so complicated, I barely understood it even with your excellent analysis 🙈
