It wasn't easy for sure. Had Mike played Rb8 at 4:13, Anna would've been annihilated. Capturing the rook is countered by Qxb8#, anything else is met with Qxf8#. The only real way to do anything about it is to move h-pawn 1 or 2 squares forward, but after Qxf8+ black is down a rook and white's attack is basically unstoppable with a checkmate coming in just a few moves.

Yep, he played B1 to defend when he should have went full throttle offensive with B8. Checkmate on next turn if nothing is played. Anna’s rook can’t take or it is still checkmate via back rank queen check. The only escape is to push the pawn, sacrificing the rook and also the pawn above the rook and destroying the king defence in the process. A lethal move Mike completely missed.

At 4:13 Boston should have won it if he moved rook to B8, that's a disappointing blunder

This was fun to watch. Anna's smile and laughter were like armor against Boston Mike and she gave right back effortlessly. 😂 She knew it was all over at 5:13 maybe sooner when she says "queening pawn??" Then she laughs and disses Mike for counting pieces. 😂 Then "I think that was a little too much [domination]" at 5:38. Boston Mike sees it about ten seconds after that. Too funny!!! It is always fun to watch youngsters play good chess.

I tried learning chess but never once won a single match. I was able to see when the match was going to end when it was too late. The same happened when Mike did his last few moves. These two make moves so fast, I had no idea what was going on.
