It takes a little while to understand Anish Giri's personality. He's not self-effacing or self-critical like Svidler (who refers to chess24.com viewers as "kind people"), and doesn't seem to laugh at himself very much like Ian Nepomniachtchi does. He's friends with Erwin L'Ami, who is apparently quite a nice fellow, so Giri just takes a bit of getting used to.

Really unprofessional behavior. He signed the contract, he wasn't forced by anyone to sign it and he's getting paid. I get it, he just lost a match, that's tough but he's a professional. Sometimes you have to do things that you're not particularly keen on, even when you have a dream job. Instead we get Giri bitching about having to play chess. Maybe he has forgotten how privileged he is to be able to do what he loves while getting paid for it.

He played like crap against magnus and is mad at chess24 about it. Childish. I like Anish. But sometimes you just need to be a man and grin and bear. He gets invited to every chess24 tournament so I have no idea why he is so butthurt over chess24. Who cares what somebody there says? He's always invited and does reasonably well. Be satisfied with that.

Why is Anish participating in any Chess24 events, when he dislikes Magnus and Chess24 that much? I rate his behaviour during the stream as unprofessional and he really offended the chess community, who likes to follow such streams to learn chess. First I hoped on black humor, but it is may really the way a guy like Anish likes to treat chess followers. I hope not to see him in any Chess24 events again.
