Technology has always fascinated me, especially in the field of chess and sports. Technology makes things easier for humans. The DGT chessboard is a wonderful and much needed blend of over the board chess and technology. This board allows us to practice playing over the board even though you dont have an opponent opposite you which is so wonderful because you can practice actual visualisation and calculation which cant be done as effectively in online chess. I am a 2100 rated player on lichess and so using the dgt board will help to improve my on the board chess as I will be playing the same level of opponents but on a physical board. Having the dgt Pegasus will also help me reduce my screen time

First up, thank you so much for organizing this giveaway. The board is very different from any boards I have seen both online and offline, both in terms of looks and the way it is used. One of the biggest factors for me personally that I take into account while choosing a good board, is the size and quality of pieces, and the pieces on this board look and feel amazing, and are also futuristic. The lighting and the technology behind it that enables you to play with computers and other players on a physical board is something that I really wanted to try for a long time, and this looks like the perfect place to begin. The operating system looks easy to use and fun to play. This is a boon for someone like me who lives alone and plays chess all the time on my phone but craves that physical touch of a board. Hey. Greetings from Brazil. Pegasus DGT could mean "Pegasus Digital Gorgeous Trainer". I loved the board and the pieces, and I loved seeing how simple it is to use and how useful it would be for me because I can't visualize the pieces and moves properly on the screen, I always make blunders that way, so I always have a physical board next to the computer to play the moves on it, decide what moves to make and then transfer them to the 2D board on the computer. This DGT Pegasus is a life saver for any aspirant chess player like me in this era of internet chess sweeping over the chess world, allowing me to play training games with different players from across the world without sacrificing the essence of playing in front of a real chessboard. Also, the ability to record games automatically and later copy and store them for analysis is excellent and can save a lot of time and energy because we don't have to manually enter our games, which is a typical practice after an OTB tournament game/training game. Pretty nice! I tried using my regular board to play online chess but I have to look at my ipad to then make the moves on the board. It doesn't work so well because my eyes drift to the ipad for calculation since that's where the moves come in. I have a Square Off unit as well which I have mixed feelings about but it gets the job done. I hope to see more and better chess technology in the near future for those of us who want to play OTB but only have online opponents.

I like the board because it is just a way to improve your chess strategies, I talk about my point of view to the chessboard is that it has good merits. I play most of online chess because no one wants to play chess in my area I want to play on board because it gives us a feel that this is the game of professionals. In my society there are many junior players who only play chess online. They don't play chess with me on board. Hey Chessbase India! I am 14 Chess player from hungary. Rating is 2087 (not so high). My main stregth is homework and I always use a real baord to anylize openings so I can get in to the position very deeply so when I am playing a game and my opponent plays a diffrent move then prep I Understand the position and will not make a bad move like most palyers. So thats why I play only on real board even online! So I think on the board make a move on the baord then go over to the comupter and make a move there! Its really tiiring thats why I would want the pegasus mainly. I also saw the top comment with the guy who had bone marrow transplant not sure if its real but I would give the pegasus to him!

I loved the board because I had tried to implement something similar by webscraping moves from lichess using python. Seeing it done so well inspired me as an engineering student. One year ago, before I came to Bangalore for studies, I used to go to the streets every evening where auto rickshaw drivers gathered to play chess for hours (in Jakarta). A few months ago I came across a reel on Instagram of a person playing chess blind fold against 3 players. It got me curious how was that even possible. That was the beginning of my curiosity which turned in passion soon as more I started to study the chess strategies. That chess player was non other than 5 times world Champion Magnus Carlsen. Then I came across other great chess grandmasters and amazing KZbin channel like Chess base india, Gotham chess, Gm hikaru. Ever since my life has changed for better with chess. Quite impressed with board which actually solves physical single player chess problem and looks elegant too! When I was kid I used to play tournaments, but eventually got busy with school life and limited myself to just playing school competitions. After long time, after chess boom in 2020 started playing again but this time online. Playing digitally is good but I always miss touch feel of the game . The best thing about this DGT Chess board is it is breaking the stereotypes of chess being boring and old fashioned to Fun and Modern. I am also looking to give chess classes in which this board will help me to attract the kids and their parents and i also have a job in an MNC where I can take this board and everyone will be amazed too. And my family also hates me being on the Phone playing chess so they would change their behaviour if I reduce my screen time because of this DGT board. In short I need it the most...

First of all thank you for giving such a good opportunity to all the chess players not only to win this chess board but also many other things that you have done to grow the chess community and it was very heart touching to see you teach those childrens. The board is really awesome as most players including myself calculate better on the board than on a screen. It helps us visualise properly and just looking at the board and the knight left me in awe. It will make playing online tournament so much better as it's hard to focus on a screen for a long period of time. A really great creation by DGT kinda like making our childhood dream come true!

This is a great initiative by DGT. All those who want to move ahead in chess give a large amount of time to it in in the day online. This increases their screen time which is bad for their eyes. Also, the amount of pleasure we get by playing it physically cannot be compared with the online pieces.

As i am a 1100 elo player i just blunder pieces and do not analyze a single game. This might help me in overcoming my laziness of analysing games. My parents also support me in chess but due to studies i can't play chess online all the time. i can practice on this chess board and become a better chess player. The best thing i liked about this chess board is the quality of the pieces and the importance given to analysis the games which were played. I make some light hearted and fun content around chess on KZbin. Especially I have a series going on by the name Reaching 2000. With the board this could add a unique element to this series. By utilising the electronic chessboard I can cater to a large audience via interactive analysis, offer chess puzzles. It would just enable me to create engaging and interactive content. When I will get bored I will play a game in lichess Or with the computer for improving my level of chess and after the game I will analyze them with stockfish 16 for enhance my training and improvement. With the board it would get easier and also more fun to play. I would also get practice of Over the board chess. Truly this board is amazing and I am sure that it will enhance my elo points soon.
