I feel like the game was lost for Firouzja starting at 9:00 when Magnus gained more time for himself by moving his bishop literally seven times between two adjacent squares while Firouzja fumbled with the pieces on the board.

Those bishop moves were pretty much the only moves he could have played in that position. Any other move would have made his position worse. He was forced to stall. As Agadmator said, Carlsen often doesn't find himself in that situation.
