We call Ratnakaran as the Indian Tal. Well, today Mikhail Tal, if alive, would have been really proud of his Indian version as Ratna sacrificed his queen for just one piece. With this amazing practical queen sacrifice Ratnakaran beat the 2600+ rated Mikheil Mchedlishvili at the third round of the Goa GM International 2019.
Recently we had Karthikeyan Murali who played a brilliant queen sacrifice to beat Alireza Firouzja. We can say that this sacrifice by Ratnakaran was equally pleasing and practically brilliant.

Man this beauty ❤️❤️ he was active from move 1 to last move. Not a single passive move, i think that requires tremendous mental strength to calculate. Preventing even the minute counter play from opponent. What a delight to witness this ❤️🙏

It was a good sac by all means. A good sac is not which is 100% accurate. It is the one which takes your opponent by surprise and works fine.

The rating diff is too huge and the gm is using his hunch, calculation wise there's many holes, if against good player he might not stand a chance with unsound queen sacrifice

I second that. I believe this man *Ratnakaran, the Indian Tal,* is better than any chess player I have ever seen. I believe that *Indian Tal* is better than Bobby Fischer. This chess match was incredible and extraordinary.

@@user-lo9tl5fx6o > Chess isn't that complicated. Fischer wasn't as good as the world thinks and there is proof. 1. - How accurate is our history? Do the news and media tell the truth? Can we rely on what people say? Do you trust the public? How honest have people been? 2. Fischer didn't defend his title and disappeared for over 20 years. 3. The number of openings can be counted and so can the total number of moves. For Example: Both Black and White can only move 20 possible moves in the first move of the game. First count all the possible pawn moves in the first move + all possible knight moves and you will get 20. In The second move, White or Black will have a total of 74 possible moves. 24+20+2⋅2+2⋅7+9+3=74. This calculation continues to get more complex in the third and forth moves. When you get to the 5th move it's been said that the possible variations are to high to count, however, not if you stop counting the possible moves and start counting the probable moves. Then the moves become countable again. 4.If you have a good memory or even a photographic memory and you have the desire to play chess, you can be a great chess player. To be the best in the world all you need to do is add some imagination and strategy to your game play and you will become the first or second best player in the world. For Example: Tiger Woods became the best golf player in the world because he practiced more than any other and used meditation and exercise with stretching to swing a golf club. Just like the game of basketball, the more Tiger Woods played, then more his mussel memory developed. Like I said before, it's not that complicated. At some point you will come to the conclusion that there is only so many opening moves and possible scenarios that you can perform in the fist half of the game that will allow you to win, lose or draw the game. In the second half of the game you are simply finishing what you started and the game becomes monotonous. This is why Fischer didn't care about playing chess anymore and disappeared. 5. Super computers have now capitalized on possible chess move scenarios and have become unbeatable by humans because their "mussel memory" (CPU/RAM/Program) is far superior and they can count way more move scenarios than humans can. Then add the imagination (A.I. being taught about traps and tricks) and you have the unbeatable opponent. Sadly, Fischer being the best chess player in the world isn't very likely anymore and you realize chess isn't anything more than just mussel memory.
