This is a 57-minute tournament I competed in on lichess.org. This Hourly SuperBlitz Arena chess tournament was livestreamed at twitch.tv/ChessNetwork on April 7th, 2022. Time controls are 3 minutes per player.
I'm a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly. Great stuff Mr. ChessNetwork. I think over the years I've learned the most about chess from following your videos (though of course there are many other great youtube chess accounts). You describe quick positional and principled ideas all the time, but have a super keen eye for tactics and will almost always point out where the positional/principle stuff leads to tactical wins. Your thought process has been super illuminating, I find myself thinking in your terms/lingo in my games all the time

Commenting on newest video... Your videos dont show up on algorithm searches where they certainly should. Not only are your videos superior to the long list of others that show up, but you have a higher subscriber/viewer count than some of them. No idea why... You should have more subscribers anyway... You're better than Gotham, and literally every other chess channel i occasionally watch. Aga is good too, but youre a much better teacher for intermediary players. A good teacher is worth 100 professionals. And thats what these chess youtube channels are all about... Anyways, thanks for your content and consistency

In the second game actually the best move is cxd5 and after he recapture Qb3 (+0.9) and if he try to save his pawn he is lost (a typical move of the position is e4 to open your lightsquare bishop cause the light square diagonale of his king is very weak). PS : thanks for uploading, your vidéos are truly the best for sleeping ❤️

While i agree, ive fallen asleep to many of his videos. Id hardly call it best for sleeping. His explanations are some of the most thorough and well articulated out of all the chess channels i frequent. His voice is most soothing and are great for listening while in twilight, but also the most thoughtful for intermediary players

Have seen first 3 games so far Jerry. Your first 2 opponents were very ferocious. That, however, is to a great extent why I like + 0 games like these, and why increment games are not my favorite at the Chess Network: You’re unbeatable in anything approaching an even endgame! Can’t recall ever seeing you play Classical Chess - by which I mean 40: 2.5 hrs, probably very outdated? Hell in my day Fisher hadn’t proposed increments yet! 🦕
