I absolutely love watching these at night. Will I fall asleep? Will I stay awake? It’s the REM gambit. Thanks for this public service.

That 2nd game checkmate was very satisfying and educational. A pawn so deep in your territory should not be ignored like your opponent did.

I like your name for early a6 in the closed sicilian. 'Information gatherer move' is perfect.

Wanted to sleep, but I happened to watch the whole thing instead... and wow. So satisfying to see you win the first 4 games under 20 moves, especially with such a calm composure. No fancy moves, no book traps, just elegant thinking. Thank you for the "awakeness", Jerry :)

a certain percentage of life is just Bad AND one can never be SURE where someone needs to go to find Solace .. peace of mind .. until you are going through those bad times, until you are going through the darkness I'm pretty sure that countless numbers of people return to this channel for any number of reasons and I might add that there have been Years of thought and obviously great love placed in all this wonderful content... and I do find this a place of solace that I am eternally grateful for

In the first game, 7. hxg4! Qxh1 8. Ne2 followed by 9. Ng3 trapping the queen is a really satisfying line
@samtugendhaft267811 ай бұрын
Thank you. Watching the video I had vague memories of this line and that you could get away with hxg4 but couldn’t remember if it was in the exact position and how the line went.
@Jonas-wd8pl11 ай бұрын
what about black playing 8. … Nh5 sacrificing the knight but getting the queen out?
@samtugendhaft267811 ай бұрын
@@Jonas-wd8pl simply gxh5 Qxh5 and either Ng3 or Nf4, developing with tempo. White has two pieces for a rook and a massive lead in development. White should be winning.
@1forlive199910 ай бұрын
Not really tho. Ne2 Qh5 Ng3 and the Queen just get away. White is indeed went ahead on development but black have a Rook and a safer King, not to mention you can actually castle Queen side and attack on H file
@samtugendhaft267810 ай бұрын
@@1forlive1999 there’s a pawn on g4 after hxg4, Qh5 just drops the queen
