Chest pain is a very common presentation to the Emergency Department. There are multiple causes of chest pain. The most important one is heart attack.
Typical symptoms of heart attack include sharp pain in the left side of chest, pressure or tightness in chest.
However, atypical symptoms also are common such as gastritis symptoms or upper back pain.
