I realize we "Jazz People" are focused w the instruments featured on this great tune but have you actually listened to the lyrics? Very emotional and meaningful. Chet does a nice vocal here on KZbin- Try it! You'll like it!

The tune was said to have been written for Sarah Vaughn to sing (rather than play keys, which she also did). She has several tracks of it here. It's not an easy one to sing.
