Jerry was probably the most inventive guitarist since the war and Chet is arguably the greatest all round guitarist ever. Just brilliant, both of them.

This music just makes me smile every time ! Been listening to them play together since my folks got me 'Me & Jerry' for Christmas in '70 ... loved Chet a few years before that but Jerry's picking literally changed everything for anybody with a thumb pick.

I really think it's cool when two great player's are watching each other's guitar instead of thier own....it's amazing to me when a player can play different styles in both lead and rhythm as well as 6 and 12 strings....Chet and Jerry....one helluva duo....

I am terribly nostagic watching this. Chet mentionning Marcel Dadi as CGP. And Jerry joking as usual. I think the song they played was a version of "My Town". Simply excellent.

I've been searching for this video for a long time. I knew I saw it before where he, Chet, said he made Marcel Dadi and Muriel Anderson a CGP. Although he wasn't too clear about Muriel. He said he believed he made her a CGP. But he did give her a pin.

@@hughvane they may not be on a "list" but Chet is on record here saying they both are, so that counts in my book. So including Paul Yandel, who was awarded it posthumously by Chet's family, that makes 8 CGP total.

Guitar players will stick with a guitar that plays very good and sounds very good regardless of the price. There could be a hundred exactly like it that don't have that exact feel or sound or a more expensive one that doesn't. When they find that ONE, they don't get rid of it.
