Not really, From what I observed Nishank was overpowered by the emotions of attachment and his desperation towards chetna was freaking her out. The moment she sat down in the last conversation, he was overcome by fear... if he truly loved her, he would be happy even if she was happy with another man... the desperation is attachment, not love.
