I'm a Deftones fan and I strongly concur with this statement, I love chevelle, but this is the one of their first songs I get a euphoria listening to this, it takes you out in the galaxy, back in time, to the future and in the moment at the same time. At the same time I get a nostalgic early-mid 2000s vibe, I wish Chevelle did more songs like this, and this song is underappreciated, in my opinion this is the best song off this album.

Long term deftones fan like linus days 93-94 and always liked chevelle but this song is to me like some of the newer deftones completely soul lifting I have heard it a number of times but when this song comes on my pandora I crank up my denon to 90db and just sit down on my couch and close my eyes for a spell!! Im not gunna lie i just cried. I just feel like they are talking about themselves falling off and sort of drifting out and the only thing you can do is remember everything that they've done. I dont know, we take these bands for granted so much! I remember the first time i heard chevelle was on a recorded vhs tape that my uncle made. The main and only video from his entire collection I can only ever remember was the Red by Chevelle, and from then on i have alway love the band and them and tool have always be tied for my favorite band! And they both have been here for me every step of the way from 5 to 25 (and obviously longer for some people) and now its all closing to an end and almost the worst pill to swallow. The only thing to do is remember your youth instead as you drift off to nowhere

I can't say enough great things about Chevelle ! Vocals , strings , lyrics , progression , you name it , LOVE these guys ! Always have .. I'll be 52 in 0ctober , always tell people my fave music was in the 90's , Chevelle changed that , all by themselves .. Love Tool , NIN , SOAD , Deftones for sure .. But man , imo , Chevelle does it different .. First track I ever heard was "send the pain below" & instantly I was hooked . my son was a baby , he's almost 18 now ! Got all my friends listening to them "you gotta hear this band" .. Once I started getting into them , I realized they had already produced an album before that lol , and I loved discovering it ! Anyway , don't change a thing guys , so happy you all exist !
