I have a few of those m series manuals transmissions in my garage and they are great for classic muscle cars that they originally came in however if you're planning to build a high horse powered engine dont use them or you will find out that they won't last long especially in drag cars, they weren't designed to take that type of abuse . Aluminum cased manuals aren't very robust at least not for drag racing

Love the sound of the Muncie transmission! My dads Nova had the m21( small block motor) and I miss that gear whine. I wish the new transmissions had the gear whine to be honest.

had one of these in 1974....black white stripes, all org., but only 4 years old at that time...would love to see the induction open up, had to keep an eye on the air hoses and replace them every so often.....yours sounds VERY org....mine met it's demise in '75 when the new owner ran it into a "rock quarry" in Nashville (hometown) and off to the crusher it went....sad, today it would have been restored....(yes, even the engine went to Steiner-Lift metals in Nashville...these cars though rare back then didn't have that prestige they have today and the government had cut our H.P. and well, "plush and A/C were the thoughts of the "new" days ahead....GREAT VIDEO....Salute.....

M22(rock rusher) had straight cut gears which made it whine.M20/21 did not not!

Yeah straighter cut gears maybe, they weren't all that different to look at. And somevod the late 70's Borg Warner T-10's also had a nice little whine to them, nothing like an M22 of course but you could hear it.

I had this same car white stripes and white interior mine was Mulsanne blue, I think this one is Ascot blue hard to tell with gopro. I loved the M22!

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime / = BABVVO Law :-(//
