My Favorite from them will always be Send The Pain Below

I'll never forget when I first heard Send the pain below, the feels I got... Now lots of years later... Remember when has given me the exact same feels, that's the power of Chevelle 🤘

Same that song always stuck with me as a kid. Didn't get into the band until a couple years ago when my friend bought me a CD cause he saw Send the Pain Below on my playlist and man am I glad he did. It's been my favorite band since. My second favorite is Family System because that's what got me more into Chevelle it's the first song on the CD he bought me.

Chevelle is exactly the band I listen to when I feel like something punchy and easy to digest. For me, the best three albums from them - Wonder What Next, Hats Off To The Bull and the latest N.I.R.A.T.I.A.S

Thanks to the Captain for requesting Chevelle 🤙 I was hoping they would get on here. Chevelle definitely has their own sound, you know your listening to them before you know your listening to them. They're distinctive and Pete has an amazing voice and uses it well in other songs. Talking about the bass rattling they do alot of things like that and Pete has particular little tricks on the guitar that give it a distinct Pete sound. For a three piece band that write their own music they are definitely up there on the list. They're also over 20yrs and counting so they're definitely not a one trick pony lol. Hope to see you in the next Chevelle reaction David 🤘

Chevelle is my favorite band 4 years straight. I'm happy seeing them in here. I honestly don't know any song I don't like from them.

Glad to see Chevelle get some recognition. Solid nu-metal 3 piece. I think at this time, all 3 members were brothers. Afterwards, the bassist left due to differences and their brother-in-law stepped in. He just recently stepped down to spend more time with family, so it's just the two brothers (guitarist and drummer). They've also been compared to Tool a bit and have a song that kind of addresses it called "Clones"
@richardsinclair76616 ай бұрын
They're not nu-metal. Like, at all. They came out and were popular alongside a lot of nu-metal bands, but that's the only similarity. Chevelle is Helmet meets Deftones with a little bit of Tool thrown in. I'm not some hater of nu-metal either. I love it, but that's why I'm saying you're wrong. Nu-metal is bands like Ra, Nonpoint, Limp Bizkit, P.O.D., Korn, and Mudvayne to name a few. Chevelle doesn't sound like any of those.

This was such a great reaction! I was fascinated by it because I don't have a musical bone in my body (I just know I like Chevelle. lol), and I liked how you broke the music down. I really hope you react to more Chevelle. I do agree that their music is more on the simple side, but they're still my favorite because all of their songs are just like this. They're all very solid, catchy songs. (Just like you said. They found their sound and stuck with it.)

Always loved their guitar tone. Enjoy most of what they do. Pretty good for a 3 piece band, at least there's a lot of room for the bass to sing out. Will listen to this again, I will listen to most Chevell, it's definitely in my ballpark. Good reaction to a good song.

this has always been my fav Chevelle song it doesnt get enough love in an era of mid 2000s nu metal they kinda stood out as a better band also all the band members are related well the original ones in the video =]

This is all 3 brothers before Joe left or got fired depending who you talk to. The new guy is a cousin or something I think? Way better with Joe if you ask me.

@@JAYZIGGY5 You mean Dean, their brother in law, in my opinion much better bassist than Joe
@JAYZIGGY52 жыл бұрын
@@kurtsarlinov Yes. He may be a better bassist but I remember Joe playing Musicman basses which are my favorites personally and he just had a lot more tone and volume than the Thunderbird or whatever the new guy was playing.

I wouldn't say they were better than Slipknot or Korn back then. Those bands owned that era for a reason. But they owned their own space and we're always on the radio. Definitely for a small band they are talented and have stood the test of time.

My favorite band without question since 2003. Each album is a slow transition from the last, yet always keeps its roots. I miss Joe in the band though.
@chevelle1 Жыл бұрын
For those that don’t know. Chevelle is comprised of 3 brothers. Sam, Pete and Joe. Joe left in 2005 and was replaced by Dean (their brother in law coincidentally). Dean left 2 years ago and now it’s just Pete and Sam with a road bassist filling in. (Doing quite well actually). Their concerts are absolutely incredible. My first was in 2003 and have been to countless shows since then.

You dropped my jaw, sir, and you have already earned my Like and my Subscription (at 1:07), simply by telling me to wait until the end before I decide whether you've EARNED IT or not. You just did. I hate that, my friend... I hate it when people ask me to hit the Like or Subscribe at the beginning of the video, as if my devotion were somehow a given or something. How would I know if I like something unless I've experienced it? Why would I subscribe to something about which I know nothing? Where is Truth and Reason in the world? Why am I here, among these unthinking creatures? Is there any escape for me? Is this all there is? Why have thou forsaken me, Logic? I just want out... Thank you for giving me a reason to maintain my Faith in Reason.

I'm here because I searched "Chevelle reaction", just so you know. I find that Awareness of Truth is always a good thing, even when the Truth itself isn't, necessarily. No matter what it is, it is what it is, just as, no matter what I am, I am what I am. The Absolute Truth.

I make all of the intros like that on purpose, so people can skip ahead if they want to. It's usually around the 1:40 - 2:00 mark.
