My daughter saw the movie and also Basketball diaries she’s only 17 but even she said it’s fucked up there’s so many songs that glorify drugs but movies like this are not mainstream, it’s really shows the truth about addiction and how dangerous something so simple can spiral out of control. Truth

yea, i agree. heroin addiction is harder to glorify, but it does get romanticized in film. but other, more "exotic" drugs like cocaine are easier to glamorize in the media. with heroin, there's more depth in some strange way, like there's more emotion and more of a struggle. an underworld. that's why films like this one really strike a chord with most people, even if they haven't been through addiction.
