I gotta give it to you for completing this challenge! I attempted it too a few years ago and didn't have enough patience to even finish half of the game, stopping at around the 4th stage of Butter Building. You had a lot of dedication to this video! That said, I do think that getting the switches was unnecessary. Unless you were going for 100%, you can get through this challenge without getting many of them (especially the ones in Butter Building). Also don't diss my boy Phan Phan like that! :(

I forgot how good some of the music in that game is... It was the first game I ever completed as a kid. In my memories, though, breaking the corpses of mini-bosses gave 10 points...? I wonder if there's scoring differences in the PAL version.

Thing is though, those "purple" switches (they're totally red) are optional, aren't they? Meaning that the extra points gained are not necessary to beat this run, making this run _not_ have the least amount of points

Fun fact: That "coked up" Waddle Doo in Orange Ocean isn't in the original Kirby's Adventure. It was added to the remake to de-necessitate backtracking to obtain the three 1-ups in the level.

Fun fact, at 16:20 the flying bedsheet enemy is actually a teru teru bōzu. It's a type of weather doll used to wish for good weather or rain fall, depending if you hang it upside right or upside down

Is there any issue with skipping the blocks in 6-6 until after you get Burning in 7-1? Doing that with the exit... err... "Leave through a door" trick should save you 50 points.

19:34 you could avoid killing the parasol waddle dee by using stone from the yogurt yard museum to become intangible and let it walk through you. I think it would save 170 points (800 for sparing the enemy minus 630 for adding a revisit to 5-6)

Holy crap that’s genius! I think all 800 points can be saved if I just replay the level after I use hammer in 5-6. Get stone and bada bing bada boom 800 points saved! Oh wait I see what you mean, yeah only 170 points are saved. But wait how would I get hammer back before 5-6 to break those underwater blocks? This is starting to hurt my head lol

@@blue_knot replaying 5-3 only helps if you're using a "sum of best" scoring method, you need stone for 5-3 and hammer for 5-6, with no chance to get hammer in between, so revisiting 5-6 after re-obtaining hammer is the only option.

@@blue_knot You regain hammer in 7-2, and have to play 5-6 twice (first without hammer, then come back for the button.) Thus, 630 points on the first visit and 670 on the second. Your current strategy spends 800 points on the enemy and 670 on a single visit to 5-6, which is 170 points more.
