Yeah the crown jewel of the c6 gen was the zr1, however the z06 came with the N/A 7.0 while the Zr1 came with the supercharged 6.2

How can you put up numbers for the SLOWEST C3 when the 68-72 were the faster cars. Using the 350 from a late 70's C3 would not be the best choice for performance numbers. LS3 was introduced in 2008. 2005 was the LS2; also the C6 was not a Stingray. And the C4 ZR1 LT5 was still 5.7L, not 7.0 FFS.

Interesting how the C7 generation has by far the longest gearing for their transmissions in this comparison, with first gear covering all of 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) and that going through just five out of eight gears means you'd have to go over 260 km/h (160 mph). I've seen a Nurburgring run of the C7 where the driver went from fourth to seventh in the manual transmission version of the car and it was running ~260km/h at 3000rpm.

That is because they use the same Gear Ration since the C4 1990, with top end 5th Gear = Top Speed of the Car. Since the Cars become faster every Generation, the Gears become longer with using different Diff Ratio. Means Gear Ratio stay always the same. Diff Ratio is made to the Top Speed of the Car in 5th Gear.

I have an LT1 in storage sitting atm, bought it with a muffler delete. The car sounds almost exactly like this, but the videos don't do the sounds justice. IMO the best sounding gen of vettes because they have a tinnier higher pitched sound that's almost EXOTIC above 3000rpm. Once you hear the C5 you can tell how they changed the overall focus of the car, even for the rest of the models. What's your take on the C6?

Just be careful when you come close to redline. A couple times you bounced the fuel cutoff. Thats ok but you don’t want to to that too often - it’s a safety feature but not always reliable. Titanium valves are not cheap 😊

The actual top speed of the 405 hp zr1 C4 is 299 kph, the actual speed of the 405 hp z06 c5 is 291 kph, the 0a 60 mph of the z06 is 3.8s, the top speed of the zr1 c6 is 338 kph, the top speed of the z06 c7 is 345 kph, the top speed of the C7 stingrey is 307 kph, In 1980 a Corvette 350 PC came out with 230 hp and a top speed of 235 kph, the Corvette C4 ZR1 which had a top speed of between 289 and 291 kph was the 375 hp version that first came out in 1989.

You can not compare those Cars to each other. For example, C4 and C5 came only with 1 Engine. While C2 and C3 came with a lot of different Engines and 10 different Gear Ratios. You could buy a C2 with 200HP or 435HP. The strogest C3 had 550HP in 1968 and the weakest C3 had 150HP in 1980. The longest Gear Ratio was about 2.500 and the shortest was 4.11. All those Options was avaiable on C2 and C3. For sure a 435HP with short Ratio can keep up with modern Cars.

The 1984 didn’t have 240hp it had barely 205 with that old engine and crossfire injection, 1995 was better with the TPI injected L98. Also, the image under the 1994 was the 2nd gen C4 of the 90s, which has different lines, lights and an LT engine
