I'm so glad, I don't need to go to an auto part store to buy the tool in the middle of the job.😄 If you like the video, please consider to subscribe and click a like button. Thanks

Yeah..... They looks rusty but they still working. We will replace them on the next rear brake job.

Nice thorough brake job. Getting ready to do mine. Strange that your tool wouldn't work to screw back in the calipers. Since I have the same block I will rent the caliper screw back tool the auto parts store has.

So the brake calipers on the rear need screwed in an not compressed in ?
@ezauto19114 ай бұрын
Yes, it is a screw -in type of brake caliper piston. You can buy the proper tool from harbor freight or Amazon. Please subscribe. Thanks.

Caliper bracket bolts are torque-to-yield and must be replaced as described in the factory manual. They cost about $2.00 each. Don’t reuse them as shown in the video.
@jessyjustice79533 жыл бұрын
Never hurts to re use the bolts. Quit being a baby.
@underalions2023 Жыл бұрын
I've always re-used the old bolts and never had a problem. I've only ever replaced if the bolts been stripped
@chrisheffernan6600 Жыл бұрын
You can reuse them as long as you use threadlocker. GM installs stretch bolts. Without threadlocker they "Can" back off.
