what great about everything that you do so easier is when you have a garage or a roof above you and all your tools you need to do your work, last but not left out is your partner to help you out

Good thing you posted this video. I have to replace a crewcab and this is the method I will be using thank you.

Make sure you have an extra set of hands, those crewcabs are huge. Good luck man!

Great video, Did you use the same vin or did you have to go through all the retitling BS. ? I enjoyed the music as well! Thank you
@Brochachichoppers2 жыл бұрын
Had to go with retitling unfortunately. The DMV here in the Netherlands is unforgiving… The music is from a local band here in the Netherlands called Desert Colossus. They’re on spotify and whatnot. Be sure to check them out!

I would love to see more detail on disassembly of cab but otherwise good vid.

Thanks for watching! There really isn't much more to it than shown here, its steering coupler, wire loom, brake lines and 4 cab bolts. If you have any questions about taking your cab off, we're here to help!

Same principle for a K20 cab swap? I have a 78 Chevy single cab longbed with the 454 7.4L
@Brochachichoppers3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the single cabs on k10,20 or 30 are identical. So same principle!

Where was the cab rusted? I saw some surface rust around the back but nothing much. Where was it bad?
@Brochachichoppers3 жыл бұрын
Floors, A-pillars, around windscreen, cab corners and rockers

@@Brochachichoppers ah yea, I have an 84 Florida truck and its got the same rust areas. Sucks, they dont even make patch panels for the a pillars around the windshield. I had to make mine out of fiberglass. I should have just removed the cab but wasnt sure about wiring differences between my diesel vs a gas truck
@Brochachichoppers3 жыл бұрын
This is a florida truck as well. '79 though. Imported to the Nerherlands. Should've known better than buying from salty FL... i was planning on fixing it but got a chance to buy a clean california cab for the right price. As for your diesel/gas issue. You could've swapped the entire harness to the new cab. That's what I'm doing with this new late 80's cab.

@@Brochachichoppers should have went that route but to late now lol. Are you going to post any update videos? Awesome content and filming.

Thanks! We'll definitely be uploading more vids soon. Just haven't gotten to it lately. Somehow my dayjob is interfering with working on my truck lol

What's the cost for that cab
@Brochachichoppers3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately the cab is already scrapped

@@Brochachichoppers was asking what price I could get one of those cab for
@Brochachichoppers3 жыл бұрын
That depends on where you are located. You can find rust free cabs for $300/400 around the westcoast of U.S. but here in the Netherlands they go for $1000/1750
