The Chevrolet Orlando is a compact MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) with three rows of seating sold by General Motors in some regions of the world since 2011. The vehicle was launched as a derivative of the first-generation Chevrolet Cruze to support the automaker’s then-present strategy of offering global Chevrolet cars developed by its South Korean operations.
The Orlando name is derived from the city of Orlando, located in the U.S. state of Florida. Internationally, the city is commonly associated with family trips and vacations due to its wide abundance of theme parks.
Specifically, the powertrain of the 2021 Chevrolet Orlando Mild Hybrid is comprised of the same turbocharged 1.3L engine already offered in the model, accompanied by the new hybrid system consisting of a 48V electric motor and a 48V battery. This setup generates 161 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque, coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission.
